Behind the Practice

The Strength & Physiology Clinic was created through years of working with people who were motivated to look after their health, but lacked clarity on what truly mattered.

Our Story

The Strength & Physiology Clinic was created to bring clarity and structure to an industry too often driven by guesswork. Built on decades of experience in sport and exercise science, it offers a method that’s both evidence-based and deeply personal.

Founder Aaron Parsley spent over 25 years exploring how people build strength, move well, and stay resilient — through coaching, formal study, and lived practice. The method draws from high-performance sport and exercise physiology, but also carries influence from martial arts, Pilates, and outdoor pursuits like surfing, trail running, and hiking — disciplines rooted in focus, control, awareness, and the joy of movement.

What began as a coaching philosophy has evolved into a structured, science-led service — one that helps people in midlife understand their body, build solid physical foundations and, and train with purpose. It’s not just about fitness. It’s about helping people feel stronger, clearer, and more capable — in their training, in their health, and in how they move through life.

The Team

Aaron parsley

  • Aaron is an exercise physiologist, strength and conditioning coach, and Pilates specialist with an extensive coaching background across sport, health, and fitness. He uses a scientific approach to assessment, monitoring, and coaching to help clients build long-term physical capacity, resilience, and confidence in their bodies.

Aaron graduated from St Mary’s University with degrees in Strength and Conditioning Science (BSc) and Applied Sport and Exercise Physiology (MSc). He has worked with Premier League footballers, Team GB Judo athletes, Team GB track athletes, and a wide range of highly competitive sports teams and individuals.

He now applies this refined skill set to a broader population, with a focus on preventative health — helping people maintain strength, fitness, and functional independence as they age.

Alongside his clinical and coaching work, Aaron has supported a wide range of individuals, including business leaders, executives, and public figures. He has also contributed to books and media publications focused on health, fitness, and human performance.

Outside of the clinic, Aaron’s philosophy is shaped by a lifelong connection to movement and physical training. Early exposure to martial arts conditioning sparked a lasting interest in discipline, structure, and the foundations of physical development. His approach also draws from the control and coordination of Pilates, the awareness and breathwork of yoga, and the freedom and presence found in surfing and time spent in nature. These influences inform a method that values not just performance, but clarity, connection, and long-term physical wellbeing.

Filip Henriksen

  • Filip’s passion for human performance started early through sport. Growing up, he competed and trained across kickboxing, MMA, taekwondo, gymnastics, tricking, parkour, football, handball, snowboarding, bouldering, and more. Over time, he realised that structured strength training was the one constant that improved everything — no matter the sport. From that point, the gym became the foundation of his approach to performance and resilience.

With 13 years of experience in the gym, Filip combines practical coaching with an evidence-based background in sport science. He began coaching online while serving in the military, and has since been fortunate enough to train world champion powerlifters, Norwegian champion powerlifters, and special forces — while also understanding what it takes to guide everyday people towards exceptional results.

Filip was also the youngest person in Norway to compete in a bodybuilding competition, bringing first-hand insight into disciplined training, body composition, and high-performance preparation.

“In order to perform at your highest level, you need more than motivation — you need a plan, the right training stimulus, and consistency. My job is to make that process clear, structured, and sustainable.”

“My mission is to help people perform at their best — in sport, in the gym, and in everyday life. My coaching is built on 13 years of training experience and a deep commitment to strength, performance, and long-term progress.”
